If you suspect that your Desert Financial account, passwords, or your identity has been compromised in any way, it’s important that you contact us immediately. Calling to speak with a representative is the best way to keep your possible losses down.

Phishing Email

To report a suspicious email that uses Desert Financial’s name, forward the email to emailfraud@DesertFinancial.com. If you followed the link in the phishing email and input your information, notify Desert Financial immediately by contacting the Member Assistance Center at 602-433-7000 or visiting your local branch.

Fraudulent Activity

Report fraudulent activity on your Desert Financial account:

  • Contact the Member Assistance Center at 602-433-7000.
  • If you are an Online Banking member, send a secure message by clicking on the transaction in your Account History and providing the requested information.
  • Visit your local branch.

Report fraudulent activity on your Desert Financial credit card:

  • Call 1-866-879-4005 to speak with a specialist at Elan Financial Services.

Lost or Stolen ATM or Debit Card

Report your lost or stolen ATM or Debit Card:

  • Contact the Member Assistance CenterMember Assistance Center at 602-433-7000.
  • During non-business hours, call 1-855-578-5801.
  • Send a secure message in online banking.
  • Visit your local branch.

Lost or Stolen Checkbook

Report your lost or stolen checks or checkbook:

  • Contact the Member Assistance Center at 602-433-7000.
  • Place a Stop Payment in Online Banking by clicking on the Resource Center tab and selecting the “Stop Payment Request” link.  Complete the form and it will be sent to us to investigate the issue.
  • Visit your local branch.

Lost or Stolen Desert Financial Credit Card

Report your lost or stolen credit card:

  • Consumer: Call 1-866-289-1567 to speak with a specialist at Elan Financial Services.
  • Business: Call 1-866-247-4714 to speak with a specialist at Elan Financial Services.

Fraud or Identity Theft

If you know or suspect you’ve been a victim of fraud, please follow the appropriate steps outlined below to report the incident.

  1. File a report with your local Police Department.
  2. Contact the three major credit bureaus to place a fraud alert on your file.

    Experian: (888) 397-3742
    TransUnion: (800) 680-7289 
  3. Be sure to request a copy of your credit report.
  4. Close all fraudulent accounts.
  5. Contact any financial or credit companies to close accts you suspect were compromised.
  6. Make copies of all reports and log all calls.
  7. Continue to monitor all activity very closely.
