Desert Financial Sponsors Devour Week Culinary Festival

It’s a milestone year for Desert Financial — our 80th anniversary — and we’re honored to sponsor the Devour Culinary Classic as part of our yearlong campaign to give more back to our community! Like us, Devour is rooted in Phoenix, and together we understand what it means to be part of Arizona’s culture. The festival is part of the 10th Anniversary Devour Week, which benefits the nonprofit efforts of Local First Arizona, Desert Botanical Garden and Arizona Business Committee for the Arts.

One of the most anticipated culinary events of the year, Devour Week is a showcase for local chefs, bartenders and food innovators. The New York Times named this southwestern food festival one of the premiere food events in the region, further establishing the Valley as a dining destination. Devour Phoenix has also received awards and accolades from PHOENIX magazine, Phoenix New Times, and AZ Central.

A Tasty Treat from Desert Financial

Look for our Desert Financial team members in attendance at the Devour Culinary Classic; we’ll be nibbling and feasting while covering the weekend festivities. To continue our Kindness Revolution, we’ll also be performing an exclusive “foodie friendly” Random Act of Kindness for select attendees at Saturday’s event. We can’t wait to see you there!

So, What’s Cooking at Devour?

At this year’s Devour Culinary Classic, James Beard semi-finalist Silvana Salcido Esparza of Barrio Café headlines a star-studded cast of culinary talent that includes fellow VIP chefs Christopher Gross, Tamara Stanger and Lori Hashimoto alongside Matt Carter, Gallo Blanco’s Doug Robson and Franck Desplechin of L’Auberge de Sedona, just to name a few. In addition to attending chef demos and enjoying food and drink tastings, event guests can browse culinary art installations, catch live performances, and even walk through a “silent disco” of lights and cocktails in the gardens! Other events held throughout the week include the Devour Bartending Competition, Devour the World multicultural festival and the Seven Chefs Dinner.

Tickets to the Devour Culinary Classic start at $105; visit to purchase. As of this writing, Saturday’s festival is SOLD OUT, with limited tickets still available for Sunday.
