Desert Financial Surprises 19 ASU Students With Gift Cards on Campus

Desert Financial social followers voted online for which gift cards to hand out

TEMPE, AZ (February 12, 2019) — Nineteen lucky students were surprised on campus recently as Desert Financial Credit Union handed out gift cards at random. Part of its “Random Acts of Kindness” campaign, Desert Financial invited its social media followers to vote online for what kind of gift cards should be handed out, and then sent team members out to deliver to students.

“At Desert Financial, we believe that Random Acts of Kindness go a long way toward helping improve our wider community,” said SVP, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Cathy Graham. “It was a treat for our team to surprise and delight Arizona State University students.”

As the new year gets underway, Desert Financial Credit Union is planning another big year of impact following its milestone $7M given back to the community, members and exceptional experiences in 2018. The organization is increasing its member giveback bonus from $5 million to $8 million, and continuing its teacher appreciation, Random Acts of Kindness, and other community-wide initiatives.
