I think I received a fraudulent text message? How will I know? 

Desert Financial will NEVER ask for your username, password or verification code in a text, email or phone call. If you believe you have received a text from someone posing as Desert Financial, here’s what you should do: 

• Don’t click on any links within the text.
• Call us at (602) 433-7000.
• Send a copy to emailfraud@desertfinancial.com. 
  
  

What are some tips to help me spot fraud?

Detecting fraud early is crucial in minimizing its financial impact. Be sure to regularly inspect your account statements for any unusual transactions. Checking your account activity online can help you spot fraud promptly. If you notice anything suspicious, contact your financial institution right away. 

What does “phishing” mean? 

Phishing is a type of cyber-attack or online scam in which a scammer calls you or sends you a text or an email that looks like it’s from a legitimate source, asking you to click on a link, download an attachment or provide sensitive information. 
Phishing attacks can be highly convincing and sophisticated, making it essential for you to remain vigilant and take steps to verify the legitimacy of messages, links, calls and emails.
