What do I need to open a business account?

It depends on the structure of your business. Please refer to the business account checklist for the documents you’ll need to provide to open your business account.

Who needs to sign the application for a new business account?

We require that all principal owners sign the application for a new business account. To accommodate business needs, we’ll accept a resolution signed by all owners, authorizing specific principal owners as signers.

What documentation is required if my business is owned or managed by a trust or another business entity?

For a trust-owned or managed business, trust documentation is required for all business accounts and loans. For a business-owned or managed business, lien and business documentation are required for the owning entity.

How can my company offer MyMoney@Work to my employees?

A prospective MyMoney@Work partner must have 10 or more employees, have a physical location in Arizona and offer direct deposit. To learn more, fill out the form on this page.

Are authorized signers on business accounts issued Visa® debit cards?

Yes. Authorized signers can obtain a debit card on business accounts.

Are there any non-Desert Financial ATM locations where I can use my card and not get surcharged?

Yes. Desert Financial belongs to the CO-OP network, which allows our members and customers of other select financial institutions to use any ATM displaying the CO-OP logo without a surcharge.

Why was I charged two fees for using my debit card at non-Desert Financial ATMs?

You may be assessed a $2 fee for using a non-Desert Financial ATM after exceeding the two free transactions per statement period. You may also be assessed a surcharge by the financial institution that owns the machine. This is the fee noted on the screen, which you must accept to complete the transaction.

How can I sign up for eStatements?

You can sign up for and access eStatements in Online Banking. Once you log in, click on “My Accounts,” then “Statements and Documents.”

When will I receive my paper business statement?

Business members generally receive paper statements by the 15th of the month. Statement cycles for all business accounts close on the final day of the month; printing, processing and mailing then take place during the first 10 calendar days.

Do you offer merchant card services?

What is Positive Pay and how does it work?

Positive Pay is a feature you can add to your business checking account that helps mitigate ACH and check fraud. It notifies you about potentially fraudulent activity so you can stop it before it posts to your account. Learn more about how Positive Pay works for business ACH and check activity.

Do you offer payroll services so we can offer our employees direct deposit?

Can my business use its current check company?

Harland Clarke is our preferred vendor. If you wish to use another check company, please request a spec sheet at your local branch, which outlines our specific processing requirements.
